A library of apps, games, and projects that kids build inside an AI product, where a public share stays off until a parent approves it.

What parents should know

The HeyOtto Marketplace is where kid-built apps, games, and projects can be browsed, saved, and remixed. A creation does not go public until a parent approves that share, and the parent can take the link down.

What is the HeyOtto Marketplace?

This page is a product definition of HeyOtto's Marketplace, not an outside review. Kids can build interactive pages, games, and apps in chat, with version history, and publish them to the Marketplace. The library is a curated set of those kid-built projects. Another child can browse, save, and remix what is already public.

Public is a separate step from building. A project can exist in the family account without a public link. Sharing uses a parent approval, one tap to allow and a way to revoke. That is the control that matters more than the gallery itself.

Why the HeyOtto Marketplace matters

Kids want to show their work. A public link is also a way for strangers to find a child. Approval before the link exists, and revocation after, is the difference between a class showcase and an open upload.

Remixing is part of learning to build. It also means a child's idea can be copied once it is public. Talk about that before the first approval, the same way you would talk about a photo.

The gallery can look like a store. It is not one. These are projects made inside the product, often games and simple apps, not downloaded software from the open web. The decision you are making is whether this particular project may have a public link, and whether the page includes a name, a school, or a photo you would not put on a flyer.

How it shows up in practice

  • A child finishes a game in chat and asks for a public link. The parent reads the project, then approves.
  • The parent revokes the link later without deleting the project from the family account.
  • Another child remixes a public project inside their own account.
  • A school project stays in the school view instead of the public Marketplace.
  • A parent reads the page for a name, a school, or a photo before tapping approve.
  • A remix stays inside the other child's account until that child's parent approves a new public link.

How HeyOtto helps

HeyOtto's Marketplace is that library. Kids build in chat, keep version history, and can share a public link only after a parent approves it. Approval is one tap, and the parent can revoke the link later. The project remains in the account either way, so taking a link down does not delete the work.

  • Public sharing is off until the parent allows it.
  • Revocation is available after a link is live.
  • Parents review the project from the same dashboard that holds the chats.

FAQs

Can my child publish without me?

Not on HeyOtto. A public share waits for parent approval. Building and saving inside the account is not the same as a public link.

What is a remix?

A remix starts from someone else's public project and changes it. Your child can remix, and other people can remix what you approve. If you do not want a project copied, do not approve the public link.

Does the Marketplace show my child's real name?

Do not put a full name, school, or address in the project. Approval is about the link. It cannot undo a name that was typed into the page. Read the project before you approve it.

Is the Marketplace the same as an app store?

No. It is a library of projects made inside HeyOtto, not a store of general apps. The safety question is still the public link, which stays behind parent approval.
