A parent dashboard is the adult view of a child's AI account. If the product has one, you can read what was said, change the limits, and approve a public share. If it does not, you are guessing from what your child remembers.

What is a parent dashboard?
A parent dashboard is a signed-in view for the adult who owns the family account. Typical pieces are conversation transcripts, a summary of recent activity, per-child settings, and a place to approve or undo something the child wants to publish. The child uses a different view and does not hold those switches.
A settings page buried in the child's app is not the same thing. If the child can open a private profile you cannot see, the dashboard on the family profile does not cover that other account. Ask who can create a login.
Why a parent dashboard matters
Controls you cannot find will not get used. The dashboard is where topic limits, alerts, and transcripts either exist or do not. A marketing line that says parents are in control should point at this screen.
It is also how you keep trust honest. Tell your child what you can see. A dashboard used in secret tends to surface later, in a worse conversation. A dashboard you describe up front is a house rule.
Look for the boring controls, not a score. Search inside a transcript. Set a limit that applies to one child. Approve or undo a public link. If those three actions are missing, the screen is a summary, not a dashboard.

Can my child see that I read the chats?
On HeyOtto, you can read them, and you should say so when you set the account up. The product does not require you to announce each visit. The house rule is yours. Hidden monitoring is the part that breaks trust, not the fact that a parent account exists.
Is a weekly email the same as a dashboard?
No. A digest is a summary. A dashboard lets you open the conversation, change a limit, and approve or revoke a share. Use the digest as a nudge, then open the dashboard when something needs a decision.
What if I have more than one child?
Look for per-child controls. A single switch for the whole household will be too strict for one child and too loose for another. HeyOtto sets tool permissions and topic limits per child.
Does the dashboard include my own chats?
HeyOtto includes a private Parent Chat that is separate from the child's thread. Your child's dashboard view is not your private adult conversation. Check any product for that split before you type something you would not want in the child's transcript.
