Instead of starting from scratch each time, parents and children can browse, save, and open resources built by the HeyOtto community.

What Is the HeyOtto Marketplace?

The Marketplace is a community-driven library of:

• Interactive Apps & Games — Builders, quizzes, simulations, calculators, drawing tools, and educational games created to spark learning and creativity
• Illustrated Storybooks — Adventure stories, fairy tales, educational narratives, and personalized storybooks
• Learning Tools — Study guides, vocabulary builders, writing templates, brainstorming aids, and research organizers
• Creative Resources — Coloring pages, drawing templates, comic strip generators, song writers, and art prompts
• Subject-Specific Collections — Math, science, history, language arts, and interdisciplinary bundles curated by topic

Each resource is created using HeyOtto!'s tools and submitted to a approval workflow that ensures:

• Safety — No harmful, inappropriate, or exploitative content
• Age-Appropriateness — Resources match the intended age group
• Values Alignment — Respect for diverse family beliefs and preferences

How Families Use the Marketplace

Browse by category, topic, or creator name. Read descriptions, see previews, and check what families say in community reviews. When you find a resource:

1. Click "Save to My Projects" — it's instantly added to your account
2. Share or use it in conversation with Otto
3. Revisit anytime; your saved resources are always accessible

All Marketplace resources operate within your child's age-gated access and can be turned off in the parent settings.

How Creators Submit Resources

The Marketplace welcomes submissions from educators, parents, storytellers, app developers, and creative professionals. The submission process is straightforward and transparent.

Submission Requirements

To submit a resource, creators provide:

1. Resource Title & Description — Clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly
2. The Resource Itself — An interactive app, storybook, or document (built using HeyOtto! tools or compatible formats)
3. Rights & Attribution — Confirmation that the creator owns or has permission to share the resource

Submission Workflow

1. Creator submits → Resource enters the approval queue
2. Automated content screening → Checks for immediate red flags (profanity, explicit content, spam)
3. Human review → HeyOtto! team reviews for:
   • Safety and appropriateness
   • Alignment with platform values
   • Educational quality and accuracy
   • Engagement and design
4. Values consistency check → Does the resource work with diverse family belief systems? Could it conflict with specific families' content restrictions? (We flag potential issues so parents can make informed choices, not because we reject the resource outright.)
5. Community feedback (optional) → High-quality submissions may be shared with beta testers or a creator feedback panel
6. Approval or revision request → Creator receives detailed feedback if changes are suggested
7. Publication — Approved resource goes live on the Marketplace with full metadata and family-friendly tags

• Automated screening: Same day
• Human review: 3–5 business days
• Revision & resubmission (if needed): Creator has 14 days; review takes another 3–5 days
• Total timeline: Most submissions are published within 7–10 business days

The Values Conversation

The HeyOtto! Marketplace serves families with different beliefs. We don't reject resources solely because they reflect a particular worldview (faith-based, secular, progressive, conservative, etc.). Instead:

• We flag potential conflict points so parents understand what they're opening (e.g., a storybook set in a non-Christian religious tradition, a history resource that teaches evolution, a social story about two moms)
• We label content honestly so families can make informed choices
• We ensure alternatives exist — if we approve a resource on topic X from worldview A, we encourage submissions from worldview B so no family feels cornered
• We respect family-specific settings — when a family has set a content restriction, resources that conflict with it can't be opened by their child account

• HeyOtto! Creator Program — Popular resources generate visibility; top creators are invited to collaborate on featured collections and may receive honorariums
• Creator Spotlight — Featured creators get a profile boost and invitations to beta-test new platform features

Privacy & Data

All Marketplace submissions are treated with the same privacy standards as HeyOtto! itself:

• Creator data — We collect only what's necessary (name, email, portfolio link). No unnecessary tracking.
• Family usage data — We see that a resource was saved or opened, but we don't harvest behavioral data from resource usage.
• No third-party tracking — Resources run within HeyOtto!'s infrastructure. No external analytics or ads.
• Transparency — We detail what data we collect and why in our Privacy Policy.

Browse the Marketplace Now

1. Log in to your HeyOtto! account
2. Go to Marketplace in the main navigation
3. Browse by age, subject, or type—or search for something specific
4. Click any resource to see a full preview and read parent reviews
5. Click "Save to My Library" to add it to your account

Share a Resource with Your Child

Once saved, you can:

• Share a direct link with your child's account (visible on their Dashboard)
• Mention it by name in chat ("Otto, can you open the 'Solar System Builder' from the Marketplace?")
• Use it during learning time or family discussions

Submit Your Own Resource

Have an app, storybook, or learning tool you'd like to share? Head to Marketplace > Creator Portal and follow the submission wizard. We review all submissions and will get back to you within 7–10 business days.
